In the midst of the family turmoil, there has been some joy as Keough and her husband Ben Smith-Petersen revealed that they are now parents to a new baby girl. The public learned about the baby during Lisa Marie’s memorial, and the couple’s publicist later confirmed the baby was born in 2022.

Since then the couple has kept further details about their daughter private, but the Daisy Jones & the Six star is opening up about her bundle of joy.

Riley Keough reveals her daughter’s name

While Keough tries to maintain a private life, as a celebrity and member of the Presley family, her name is bound to be in the news. When the actress revealed she and her husband had secretly welcomed a baby, of course, everyone wanted more details.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Keough reveals her daughter was born in August 2022 and was born via surrogate. The War Pony actress explained that her battle with Lyme disease is why she choose surrogacy.

"“I can carry children, but it felt like the best choice for what I had going on physically with the autoimmune stuff.”"

Keough and Petersen chose the name Tupelo Storm for their daughter, and it pays homage to her famous grandfather and late brother. Tupelo is Elvis’ birthplace and Storm is the middle name of Keough’s brother Benjamin, who died in 2020.

"“We picked her name before the Elvis movie. I was like, ‘This is great because it’s not really a well-known word or name in relation to my family – it’s not like Memphis or something. Then when the Elvis movie came out, it was like, Tupelo this and Tupelo that. I was like, ‘Oh, no.’ But it’s fine.”"
