However, in a bizarre mix-up, fans believed that Grande was dating Spongebob Squarepants television show voice actor Tom Kenny instead of Slater. As the rumors about Kenny and the Thank U, Next singer swirled, Kenny’s wife of 27 years Jill Talley set the record straight.
Talley commented on an Instagram post by The Cut that asked: “Is Ariana Grande Dating Spongebob Now?” The actress’ response cleared up the confusion.

He is not dating Ariana Grande.I don’t know if Ethan Slater (who played Spongebob int he musical) is or isn’t dating Ariana Grande. Talley’s response to the rumors came as she and Kenny celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. The couple met in 1992 while working on the short-lived comedy series The Edge. Talley and Kenny have two children, and like her famous husband, Talley is also a voice actress.
While Talley and Kenny are still happily married, Grande and Slater are navigating their new relationship while dealing with their divorces and the general public’s opinion on their status. According to Entertainment Tonight, Slater is estranged from his wife Lilly Jay, with whom he has an infant son.
