RHOBH Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have split but deny divorce
News broke recently that RHOBH (Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) stars Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky have separated after 27 years of marriage. While this may be unexpected news for the fans of the series, both deny that a divorce will follow. The split has shocked many, especially since Richards and Umansky claimed that their relationship and family life were as real as it gets on the popular Bravo reality series.
According to a People article, the couple “have been separated for a while now, and are living under the same roof.” They “remain amicable as they figure out what’s best for them and their family.”
Richards and Umansky share three daughters: Alexia, Sophia, and Portia while Richards has a daughter Farrah is from her first marriage to Guriash Aldjufrie, whom she married in 1988. They divorced in 1992.

“In regards to the news that came out about us today. . .any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue. However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously. There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part. Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
Umansky closes his piece with, “Thank you for the love and support. Kyle and Mauricio.”
Rumors of a stressed marriage started to circulate on early episodes of RHOBH, circling back to season one, and the current situation between Richards and Umansky will be a storyline for the upcoming thirteenth season which is scheduled to air later this year on Bravo.
How did Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky meet?
The couple met in 1994 at Bar One, a Los Angeles nightclub, and were married in 1996. Per an interview on the wedding website The Knot, Richards revealed what drew her to the real estate mogul saying, “He was just a sweet guy, and he loved my daughter,” she said. “And we like to do the same things. We share the same interests and have common goals, and I think that’s what drew us together.”
For Umansky’s part, he shared it was seeing how good of a mom Richards is to Farrah that gave him a glimpse of a potential future with her.
