Music is supposed to tell a story but sometimes, the story is about the band themselves. For the Jonas Brothers, it goes much deeper as shared by Nick Jonas recently.

Jonas is promoting his newest flick: The Good Half in which he has a lead role. While interviewing Jonas and his co-stars, Variety asked him a very interesting question, and as a Jonas Brothers fan, it’s been on my mind.

Variety asked Nick if a possible Jonas Brothers musical would be autobiographical to which Jonas replied: “We’ve been playing around with it since there are no rules. We could do something autobiographical or we could simply use the music and create a new story a la “Across the Universe” or “& Juliet.” We’re open to whatever.” That’s a roundabout way of not answering.

Regardless it does get me excited about the future of the Jonas Brothers and what we as fans have to look forward to.

Did Nick Jonas give a glimpse into the future of the Jonas Brothers?

As Jonas Brothers fans, we have been through the wringer. From a stint on Disney to breaking up to coming back together, being a Jonas Brothers fan is not easy. However, there’s one thing the band always guarantees and that’s putting on a good show. That’s why it would be amazing to see their story turned into a musical.

If you’re not a Jonas Brothers fan, you might not realize that the band headlined 5 shows on Broadway, covering their last 5 albums. Since then, the band announced a nationwide tour featuring the tagline of “5 Albums. One Night,” which has fans excited. However, the band’s momentum isn’t bound to last forever.

Nick, Joe, and Kevin Jonas are all in their 30s now along with being parents so this train can’t go on forever and it’s going to be constantly changing and evolving. In particular, we might see the band deciding to take their talents to Broadway. The Jo Bros could end up deciding to make an entire Broadway show based on their lives growing up to becoming famous and the eventual, breakdown of the band before reuniting.

There is so much ground to cover and a lot of topics a Broadway show could feature. Whether it’s focused on one of the brothers, the band as a whole, or a commentary on fame, a Broadway show about the Jonas Brothers would be interesting, to say the least. Coupled with the band’s eventual book release and extensive discography, a Jonas Brothers Broadway show could end up being a project in the future.

Even if the band decides to stop touring or change things up, you could still get somewhat of an experience as a Jonas Brothers fan. For those who are fans of the band, there’s no doubt they’ll still be loving them decades later. Frankly, it’s an amazing idea and I’m hoping we end up getting a Jo Bros Broadway show in the future.
