Timbaland, Justin Timberlake’s longtime collaborator, and friend, has announced that the singer’s next album is in the works. The upcoming release will mark Timberlake’s first album since Man of the Woods, which dropped in 2018.

In a recent interview with Variety, Timbaland, a celebrated music producer, disclosed that he and Justin Timberlake have been collaborating on fresh music. This forthcoming album will be Timberlake’s return to the music industry since his previous record, Man of the Woods, was released in 2018.

The celebrated producer remarked in a recent interview that it’s up to the superstar musician to decide how and when he wants to release the album.

The new collaboration between Justin Timberlake and Timbaland has a similar feel to Timberlake’s Grammy-winning album FutureSex/LoveSounds, according to the music producer. Fans have continued to enjoy the album’s hits for over 20 years, making it a fan favorite.

Timbaland produced chart-topping hits like “SexyBack,” “My Love,” and “What Goes Around…Comes Around” on FutureSex.

Timbaland and Justin Timberlake’s musical partnership has remained for years, with the duo collaborating on several albums. They have worked together on both parts of The 20/20 Experience and Timberlake’s most recent album, Man of the Woods. Their successful partnership has produced numerous chart-topping hits and solidified their position as one of the most dynamic duos in the music industry.

In 2007, FutureSex garnered four Grammy nominations and won two. “SexyBack” won the Best Dance Recording award, while “My Love” featuring T.I. received the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award.

In 2002, Justin Timberlake enlisted Timbaland’s help for his debut album, Justified. The partnership proved successful, as the Timbaland-produced hit “Cry Me a River” quickly became a smash hit, earning Timberlake a Grammy award for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. The song peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, solidifying the duo’s musical collaboration and paving the way for their continued success in the industry.
