2022 was a great year for the most part. No one had a better year than Miss Keke Palmer. If anything, she helped make the blueprint for what an amazing year looks like.

Aside from Keke Palmer, there are plenty of awesome women who rocked it in 2022. Some could say Lizzo, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Taylor Swift all had an amazing year which is true but for me, this was a year unlike any other.

While the world seemed to fall into chaos, a lot of things also shifted especially when it came to people finally getting the recognition they deserve and no one is more deserving than Keke Palmer.

I’m sure some of us remember her from her Disney or Nickelodeon days, but 2022 was the year of Keke Palmer and that’s all some of us have been waiting for.

2022 was the year of Keke Palmer and let’s hope it continues.

As previously mentioned, there were multiple women who had a great year in 2022, but for me, Keke Palmer was the one. Let’s start off by talking about some of her career highlights from the year. The heavy-hitter for me was Nope which was another masterpiece by Jordan Peele and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

Additionally, Keke provided her voice for Izzy in Lightyear and played Alice in Alice which wasn’t well-received. However, it’s worth a mention along with being the host of Password and Saturday Night Live. The latter also gave us the Kenan and Kel reunion we’ve been dying for to boot.

If that wasn’t enough, she also had two TV roles as Rochelle in Human Resources and voicing Maya in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. As you can see, the acting side of things was amazing for her which also included a partnership with Doritos for Doritos Dips but that wasn’t the only highlight for her in 2022.

She also announced that she was expecting which was a huge step as she has been open about her struggles with PCOS online. While it might not seem like much, I’m sure it was a major milestone for her and her partner. Plus she got to reveal it on SNL which is pretty awesome if you ask me.

Honestly, I couldn’t think of a more hardworking and deserving person than Keke Palmer this year. She’s been working for over a decade at this point and I’m happy she’s finally getting the love she deserves. Whether you just started following her career now or have been since her True Jackson days, it’s amazing to see just how far she’s come and how much brighter her star is becoming.

For 2023, hopefully, Keke is able to take a break, but I’m sure she’ll be back on our screens before we know it. However, if she decides to take time to be with her family, it’ll be understandable considering how packed 2022 was for her. Either way, I adore Keke Palmer and I can’t wait to see what 2023 holds for her.
