When is Thanksgiving 2022? (What day is Thanksgiving this year?)
By Cody Schultz
It seems like November only just began the other day, and yet we’re quickly racing toward the end of the month and the holiday season is already upon us!
While many jump right ahead to the many holidays that December brings, the holiday season officially kicks off every November with a holiday all about celebrating what we’re thankful for as we come together with family and friends. We’re, of course, referring to Thanksgiving which takes place every November, and formally begins the start of the holidays for many in the US.
The Thanksgiving holiday is fast approaching, leading to a growing interest in many to confirm when exactly the holiday will be falling on the calendar this November!
Thanksgiving 2022 date: When is Thanksgiving this year?
In today’s crazy world, it can be hard to keep track of when certain holidays fall — especially when they don’t fall on the same day every year. In the instance of Thanksgiving, the holiday takes place on the fourth Thursday of each November which means the formal date of the holiday varies from year to year as the calendar shifts.
If you’re counting down the days to the holiday and are wondering when you should be preparing to tackle certain items on your holiday to-do list, you should know that Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, Nov. 24 this year.
With the holiday’s arrival, many businesses will be closed as will schools so it never hurts to start planning ahead. In addition to enjoying time with loved ones, you can once again expect many annual traditions to continue including the annual Macy’s Parade, a few NFL games to air across the day, and the National Dog Show to crown a new Best in Show!
