Kim Kardashian is launching her true-crime podcast, The System: The Case of Kevin Keith, which will air exclusively on the audio streaming platform Spotify.  The first two episodes have already premiered on October 3rd as an extended preview; then, the remaining six will be aired weekly on Mondays.

The project comes more than two years after Kim scored a deal with Spotify and hopes to raise attention to the unfair ways of the law and justice systems that can be disheartening.

To summarize, The System will be narrated by Kim and true crime producer Lori Rothschild Ansaldi, whose work can be seen across Investigation Discovery.  In the podcast, the alleged crimes of Kevin Keith will be discussed, along with interviews with Keith.  In 1994, Keith was charged with a triple homicide in Ohio, but no evidence has been linked to him and the crimes.  As a result, Keith spent twenty-eight years in prison, with a large portion on death row.  His sentence was commuted to life with no possibility of parole in 2010 and has remained there since.

His family, including Keith’s brother Charles, always believed he was innocent.  With Kim’s help, they have been working on getting Keith’s unjustifiable story out and hope for his release.

I’m really hopeful for this podcast, just to get your story out there because I think it’s so important for people to understand that… our system is so *expletive* up.” – Kim during The System‘s premiere.

Last year, Kim passed the baby bar exam in California, and her experience has been documented on her Hulu series The Kardashians during the first season that streamed earlier this year.

The Kardashians star lobbied with former President Trump in 2018 to commute the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson.  She served over two decades behind bars for a first-time nonviolent drug trafficking offense.  Thanks to Kim, Johnson was released from prison with a new lease on life.  She has since written a memoir, After Life: My Journey From Incarceration to Freedom, highlighting her jail time and her faith, with a forward written by Kim Kardashian.
