September means one thing and that’s back-to-school season. For most teachers and students, going back to school is equally as stressful.

However, one realm in which back to school isn’t stressful is romance books. While yes, things can be a bit hectic, most of the heroes and heroines find a way to make it fun.

With back to school rapidly approaching, you might be looking for some ways to alleviate some stress. What better way than to pick some romance books focused on school/teachers? For the sake of this list, there will be no YA books as that would be a little too easy.

Regardless, hopefully, these romance books help you with your back-to-school transition whether you’re a teacher or a student, or both.

These romance books focusing on school and teachers might be an A+ for you.

Before getting into the romance books, there is actually one non-romance featured on this list and that’s For Your Own Good by Samantha Downing. This one is actually a thriller and it follows a teacher named Teddy who is known for his unorthodox teaching methods. The story unfolds as his plans begin to unravel and it includes the perspectives of the different people affected by him.

Moving onto the actual romance books, the first romance is The Royals Next Door by Karina Halle. This book is about Piper who ends up living beside royals and the romance she develops with their bodyguard, Harrison. While most of the book is set during summer, Piper’s profession does come up via the conflict in the book. Despite having royals in the background, this was a fun small-town story.

Another romance between a teacher is Stripped by Zoey Castile. This is a romance between two neighbors: Robyn who is a teacher and Fallon who is a stripper. Yes, this book is sexy but the romance between the two is dynamic. Seeing the two of them work past issues and grow as people were just excellent. The book never feels respectful either which isn’t easy to achieve.

Moving onto the collegiate level, How To Fail at Flirting by Denise Williams is a romance between a professor and a guy who could cost her job. Naya and Jake have a one-night stand before they meet professionally and it goes from there. While the romance is solid, Naya’s growth is where the book shines especially with her abusive ex constantly showing up. Either way, it’s still an amazing story you’ll devour.

The last book is actually a romance between two teachers and that’s Teach Me by Olivia Dade. It’s very rare to find romance books between two teachers and this one is a delight. When Martin gets a job at Rose’s school, she’s determined to ignore him especially after he takes over one of her favorite classes but his sunshiney personality captivates her icy heart. This book is definitely a bit slower and more slice-of-life but it’s unputdownable once you start.
