American Idol announces judges panel for upcoming season
Not only is it the longest-running music talent show on the air, but it’s coming back for its 21st season with familiar faces. ABC confirmed on Thursday that Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan will all sit behind the judge’s desk together during the sixth season of American Idol on the network. The trio has been a collective on the show since it began airing on ABC. The latest season of American Idol is set to premiere in Spring 2023 and will bring judges fans know and love, but with additional experience build along the way. Lionel Richie
It is hard to believe that Lionel Richie is 73 years old! The singer is known for songs such as “Hello”, “We are the World”, “Stuck on You”, “The Only One”, “All Night Long”, “Say You”, “Say Me” and “I Call it Love, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. Even though his rise to fame came in the 1970s, it is safe to say that he is not going anywhere just yet!
Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan is one of the most successful artists in country music. He has over ten albums in his catalog and hosted the 55th Annual Country Music Association Awards in 2021. The accomplishment made him the first solo host in 18 years. A deluxe edition of his latest album, Born Here Live Here Die Here, was released on April 9, 2021, and was the catalyst for his latest tour.
Katy Perry
While Katy Perry rose to music stardom during the 2010 era, her influence on music remains present today. She began her “Play” residency at Resorts World Las Vegas on December 29, 2021, with music from her latest album, Smile. No new music has been announced as of yet.
