“Biblical” did not tread lightly as it eased its way to Fangs and Toni’s wedding. Percival Pickens continues to bring horrors to Riverdale as he ruins the rehearsal dinner food from afar and sets Cheryl’s Nana Rose ablaze to remove the fire that had attacked him.

Percival’s constant desire follows his wish for his railroad to be built. With the crew still following Archie’s lead against Percival, Percival decides to get the ball rolling to encourage Archie to get the crew back to work.

“Biblical” emphasizes Percival’s powers as being beyond mind persuasion, showing his control of growing plagues throughout town. His last act brings about the death of all firstborns in Riverdale. Ignoring plot holes in that, such as Jughead dying while Veronica lives even though they both have an older half-sibling, the episode’s end is a horrifying conclusion.

Fangs and Toni’s wedding, which was meant to be a happy and celebratory occasion, ends in the massive killing of nearly everyone. But, no one should fear too much because Heather knows a very powerful necromancer, name-dropping Sabrina Spellman in the episode’s final moments.

Will Sabrina bring everyone back to life? Will she be granted more than five minutes of screentime? The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina proved Sabrina Spellman to be a strong witch. However, Sabrina had died in the series finale. Will Riverdale address how she is alive and walking around? But, the mention of Sabrina Spellman is not the only thing from “Biblical” that needs answers.

After episodes of teasing potential connections to Rivervale, Riverdale is finally moving forward with connecting the two universes. Jughead spends “Biblical” still stuck in the bunker, writing stories to remove the growing voices in his head. However, at night, he is visited by the characters in those stories, such as La Llorona and a version of Cheryl Blossom. In the morning, his stories are missing, but he is encouraged to continue writing from a message in a bottle.

Although the brief appearances are concerning for Jughead, the final one is sadly cut off by Jughead’s death just as he recognizes he is sharing a room with an alternate version of himself.

Jughead’s death may have prevented him from confronting his alternate self, but that may not be the case for long. With only a few episodes left in the season, Riverdale needs to address the growing memories and visions that connect Riverdale to Rivervale.
