Simone Biles

There are a lot of reasons why Simone Biles is considered a woman making history. She is already considered to be one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, with seven Olympic medals and multiple world titles. Her accomplishments in the field of gymnastics are enough to make her a permanent addition to the record books and the history books

And yet, while Biles is an inspiration to young female athletes, particularly in the gymnastics world, that is not the only reason she is a history maker. During the 2020 Summer Olympics, she made international news for putting her mental health above the competition. Although this led to plenty of near slanderous headlines and plenty of racism being lobbied her way, it did not stop her from eventually rejoining the competition and winning another medal.

Simone Biles has proven to be a face for mental health and someone who is not afraid to speak up and speak out. (In fact, she is one of the gymnasts who spoke out against Larry Nassar, the gymnastics physician who abused countless female athletes over the years.)

Beyond her gymnastics career, Biles has also had a number of endorsement deals, but the one that touches our heart the most might just be the work she has done on behalf of foster homes thanks to Mattress Firm.

Basically, if there was a woman to look up to, it would definitely be Biles.
