Let your childhood rejoice: A Blues Clues movie is coming this year

Let your inner child rejoice! Steve is coming back! And not only is Steve coming back. Steve (Steve Burns), Josh (Joshua Dela Cruz), and Joe (Donovan Patton) are coming back along with everyone’s favorite best friend, Blue. Every era of Blue’s childhood is coming back for one big movie. When? That’s yet to be announced. But here’s what you need to know about the Blues Clues movie that is coming this year!

Blues Clues is going to the big screen!

Do you remember the message from Steve that hit social media a few months ago? Every 90s kid whether a Blues Clues fan or not had their heart skip a beat. The passion behind the message of needing to move away to go to school and leave home touched the hearts of many. The significance of needing to “grow up” was something that many original Blues Clues watchers were growing through.

Now, that same sentiment will carry on in the movie. The movie is set to be titled Blue’s Big City Adventure. While Paramount+ has yet to announce the plot of the film, it is the first time that the series will have a film since in over twenty years.

In 2000, the series released a direct-to-video adaptation that was titled Blue’s Big Musical Movie. A video game for the Playstation console soon followed in 2002. The series later ended its run in 2004 with it being the highest-rated show for preschool children. It became syndicated in over 120 countries and continued with massive success even years after, which caused its revival in 2019. Because so, it is no surprise that it is coming back with a movie this year.
