Merry Swiftmas: 3 predictions for Taylor Swift in 2022

It’s hard to believe 2021 is almost gone. However, with a new year comes the promise of a fresh start and something new. That’s a sentiment Taylor Swift seems to take literally as it feels like every year, she reinvents herself. 2022 is bound to be no exception for her.

While 2021 seemed like it was going to be a chill year for Taylor, she went above and beyond for all of us. We got two re-recordings of her previous albums, Fearless and Red which are now both Taylor’s Version. She won a Grammy as Folklore was named “Album of The Year.” She hosted Saturday Night Live, directed her short film, and upended her success by re-recording albums that are almost a decade old.

Overall, 2021 has been a huge year for Taylor Swift. As if she wasn’t already a mega-talented superstar, she upped the bar. While it’s been a huge year for Taylor, it doesn’t seem like she’s going to be taking a break anytime soon. With 2022 at the cusp, it’s always fun to imagine what Taylor’s going to do in the upcoming year.

The first 2022 prediction for Taylor Swift has to do with re-recordings.

It comes as no surprise that the first 2022 prediction for Taylor is that we’ll get two additional re-recordings of her albums. In 2021, we got both Taylor’s Version of Red and Fearless. Both were tremendously successful. Considering how well-received the albums were, it wouldn’t be surprising if Taylor decided to release two more of her old albums.

Fans have been speculating for months on which albums are going to be next, but it would be nice to see Taylor go back to one of her older works such as Taylor Swift or Speak Now. Then again, she did just release two older albums so 1989 or Reputation might be her next choice.

The next prediction has to do more with Taylor Swift’s personal life.

This next prediction is just wishful thinking and I know that other fans are hoping for the same. We’re all hoping Taylor Swift finally settle’s down with Joe Alwyn. The two have been together for years and since the release of Taylor’s song, “Paper Rings,” the speculation only grew. As long as the two have been together, it wouldn’t surprise me if they decided to get engaged in 2022. It could end up being just false hope on my part, but it would be exciting no doubt.

This final prediction will hopefully bring Taylor Swift to the masses.

The final prediction for Taylor in 2022 is that she’s announce a tour. While the tour might not even be in 2022, it would be nice to see her back on the road. After the cancellation of “Lover Fest” and COVID-19 taking over the world, things seemed bleak. However, it would be nice to see Taylor announce a tour within the next year. Yes, she’s very busy and has a lot going on, but I’m sure all of us are excited to see her and to finally see her perform the songs she rightfully owns.

Considering how productive and dominant she was in the past two years, these predictions could just be the tip of the iceberg.
