Kelly Clarkson is releasing new music and the timing is perfect
“Since you’ve been gone” so much has happened Kelly Clarkson.
But guess what? Ahead of NBC’s The Voice broadcast this week, the star released an Instagram post stating she had a Christmas single coming out titled “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)”. It is also speculated that this is the lead-up to her new album. The star has not released an album since her 2017 album “Meaning of Life”. With so much in store, what does this mean for Kelly Clarkson fans?
New Kelly Clarkson music is on the way
With the announcement and release of Kelly Clarkson’s new single, especially the name of it, fans are joking that it is the “divorce album”. Her song, which she promoted on an Instagram post includes the lyrics “Lost at first/ Thinking that I might/ Be cursed/ Winter wonderlands weren’t made for one.” It also includes the lyrics: “I’ll be hangin’ every light I find in this house/ Playin’ Christmas music so loud/ This year Christmas won’t be quite so blue.”
Although she has said she would not address her divorce for the sake of her children, which she shares with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, music has always been an escape for her. The pair share a daughter and son, and finalized their divorce in August 2021. However, with Adele making waves with her latest album, “30”, which argumentatively is her “divorce” album, the timing is perfect. Music should always be an escape. Although Kelly is right to want to keep some things private, Kelly should have the peace to let some things go through her music. We hope to see an album full of emotion, therapy, and the Kelly Clarkson we love soon.
