Jordin Sparks and Michael Xavier star in A Christmas Treasure, the latest all-new original movie that’s part of the 2021 Countdown to Christmas celebration on Hallmark Channel. The movie premieres Sunday, November 7.

A Christmas Treasure synopsis

The Webb family has a long history in Pine Grove. This year they’re set to open a time capsule that has been buried for 100 years, back when the town was founded. Lou (Sparks) works at the local newspaper, which has been in her family forever. She’s thinking about moving to New York to become a writer, but the time capsule’s contents – namely an old journal from her grandfather – has her rethinking things.

Kyle (Xavier) is visiting Pine Grove for the holidays. The charming chef is at a crossroads in his own life and he’s hoping to find some clarity during his visit. Lou and Kyle meet, and that causes their decisions to be even harder to make.

A Christmas Treasure cast

Grammy-nominated Jordin Sparks is very well known for her time on American Idol. She will sing two classic Christmas songs in the movie, “This Christmas” and “O Holy Night”, along with her original song “Oh, It’s Christmas.” The singer-songwriter’s songs have sold over 10 million digital tracks cumulatively in the US.

Michael Xavier was a series regular on Bitten and he had a recurring role on The Expanse and Northern Rescue. The Ottawa native also starred in Christmas Comes Twice, Shazam!, The Bold Type and Taken.

A Christmas Treasure was directed by Michael Robison from a teleplay by Sandra Berg and Judith Berg.
