Guide to Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ The Christmas Promise
Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Miracles of Christmas celebration continues with The Christmas Promise starring Torrey DeVitto and Dylan Bruce. The movie debuts Saturday, October 30, at 10pm ET/PT.
The Christmas Promise synopsis
The Christmas Promise is a heartwarming story of a woman named Nicole (DeVitto) who lost her fiance. She’s been dealing with her grief as best she can, but she realizes she needs to sell the dream home they were building together before he died. She hires Joe (Bruce) to help her and her grandfather Pops (Patrick Duffy) finish the work. Joe can see that Nicole has been through a lot and he tries to help her recover from her loss.
While she’s working on the house, Nicole starts to text the person who has her late fiance’s phone number. The mystery person on the other end has also experienced loss and together they try to move forward.
The Christmas Promise cast
Torrey DeVitto is well known around the Hallmark family of channels for her work in Write Before Christmas, which premiered in 2019 during Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas. She starred in six seasons of Chicago Med, and she appeared on a number of other shows including Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill.
Dylan Bruce is also a familiar face at Hallmark after starring in Love’s Christmas Journey. He’s starred in Midnight, Texas for two seasons and recently appeared on Magnum P.I. He also starred in Orphan Black, Heroes Reborn and Arrow, to name a few of the hit series he has been part of over the years.
Patrick Duffy is a beloved actor who is well known for his role in the 1980s series Dallas as well as the 2012 reboot of the iconic series. He’s appeared in a number of other series including Step by Step, The Fosters and American Housewife.
The Christmas Promise was directed by Fred Gerber from a script written by Kathy Kloves.

The Christmas Promise debuts Saturday, October 30, at 10pm ET/PT on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries as part of the network’s Miracles of Christmas programming. If you miss the premiere, you can watch it on Hallmark On Demand beginning the next day.
