Hallmark Channel’s Christmas in Harmony: Synopsis, cast, trailer
There’s nothing better than a Hallmark Christmas movie that’s full of love and music. The 2021 Countdown to Christmas celebration continues with Christmas in Harmony starring Ashleigh Murray and Luke James. James and co-star Michelle Williams will perform their music in the movie.
Christmas in Harmony synopsis
Murray plays Harmony Matthews, who finds herself out of work at Suprasonic Records and on her way back home. Mama (Loretta Devine) is very excited to have Harmony back in time to help with the church’s chorus performance.
One of Harmony’s celebrity clients, Melo D Star (Williams) is trying to leverage her power to get Harmony back to work, but in a twist Harmony ends up auditioning for the lead solo in the chorus, which is under the direction of her former high school sweetheart Kyle (James).
Though nothing seems to be going Harmony’s way, life has a way of showing what you need when you need it most, but will she get the message before Christmas Eve?
Christmas in Harmony cast
Ashleigh Murray (Harmony) grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and after high school she moved to New York and studied at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. She’s appeared on Riverdale and on Katy Keene in the role of Josie McCoy, perhaps best well known as the lead singer in the fictional (but awesome) band Josie and the Pussycats.
Luke James (Kyle) is a three-time Grammy nominated singer and actor who has been seen recently on Showtime’s The Chi. He’ll appear in Keenan Scott II’s play Thoughts of a Colored Man this fall. The New Orleans native is currently based in Atlanta, where he works on his music and his acting.
Christmas in Harmony also stars Loretta Devine, Michelle Williams, Basil Wallace, Brian Patrick Whitted, and Tia Streaty. It was directed by Rusty Cundeiff from a script by Jessiline Berry.
