Hallmark Channel’s The Santa Stakeout: Synopsis, cast, how to watch
The Santa Stakeout is the next all-new original movie in Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas 2021. Tamera Mowry-Housley and Paul Campbell star in this whodunit that leads two detectives on a path to love.
The Santa Stakeout synopsis
When a town starts to see a sudden spike in thefts taking place during holiday parties, police detective Tanya (Mowry-Housley) is paired with Ryan (Campbell) to investigate. They go undercover as newlyweds to flush out the thief.
As they go deeper and deeper undercover they discover that it’s not hard to pretend to be a couple at all, and the magic of the holiday season is making their work more enjoyable than they could imagine.
The Santa Stakeout cast
Tamera Mowry-Housley (Tanya) charmed a whole generation of fans who grew up with her on Sister, Sister and then tuned in to watch her on The Real. In addition to her many acting roles, Mowry-Housley has starred in and executive produced several movies for Hallmark. She and her husband Adam Housley live in Napa and operate the Century Oak Winery.
Paul Campbell (Ryan) has appeared in a number of shows but it’s his role on Battlestar Galactica that gave him his big start. He’s a Hallmark Channel regular, appearing in a number of Hallmark movies. He also starred in Christmas by Starlight, which he wrote. He’s currently starring in Turner & Hooch on Disney+.
The Santa Stakeout also stars Joe Pantoliano as Mr. Miller, with Tom Pickett, Liza huget, David Kaye and Devon Alexander. The movie was directed by Peter Benson from a script by Gregg Rossen and Brian Sawyer.
