The annual Miracles of Christmas holiday programming event kicks off on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries with an all-new original movie, Christmas in My Heart, premiering October 23. The healing power of music brings two families together at the holidays, revealing the true power of Christmas magic.
Christmas in My Heart synopsis
When Beth (Heather Hemmens) returns to her hometown after her mother passes away, she meets young Katie (Maria Nash). Katie is the daughter of country music star Sean Grant (Luke MacFarlane) and she’s a very talented violinist.
Sean is mourning the death of his wife and isn’t in the mood for music, but Katie convinces him to allow Beth to tutor her and over time the magic of music and the holiday season helps them to heal.
Christmas in My Heart cast
Heather Hemmons (Beth) is a series regular on The CW series Roswell, New Mexico, where she plays Maria DeLuca. She’s appeared on Jamie Foxx’s Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! and OWN’s If Loving You Is Wrong, and she also had recurring roles on Yellowstone and Grey’s Anatomy.
Luke MacFarlane has been seen on Brothers & Sisters, Over There and Satisfaction, and he’s also starring in Netflix’s upcoming feature Single All the Way. While he’s a prolific TV actor, he’s also very well known for his theater work, including The Normal Heart, The Busy World of Hushed and Reverberations.
Christmas in My Heart also stars Sheryl Lee Ralph, Larry Day, Kathleen Fee, Andrew Shaver, Melissa Paulson and Conni Miu. Pat Kiely directed the movie from a script written by Liz Storm, Jamic Pachino and Shari Sharpe.
