Countdown to Christmas 2021 continues on Hallmark Channel with the next all-new original movie in the lineup, Boyfriends of Christmas Past, premiering Saturday, October 23. This charming and heartwarming story is based on a novel by Edie Grace and it’s a very modern and unique play on the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.
Boyfriends of Christmas Past synopsis
Lauren (Catherine Haena Kim) is a marketing executive who has everything she needs in life. She’s got a great job, great friends and a great family. Her best friend Nate (Raymond Ablack) has always been there for her and they’ve always supported each other.
When her job starts forcing her to miss big events in his life, she doesn’t realize how much it’s hurting him until “ghosts” of her previous boyfriends start showing up to reveal that he’s always been there for her and she could lose him forever unless she opens her eyes to the possibility of love because true love has always been right in front of her.
Boyfriends of Christmas Past cast
Catherine Haena Kim (Lauren) starred opposite Matthew McConaughey in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, landing the role after her first audition. She’s also appeared on 90210, Hawaii Five-0, Major Crimes and Good Trouble, in addition to her recurring role in Mistresses.
Raymond Ablack has appeared in several TV shows including Narcos, Orphan Black and Defiance. He currently appears on the Netflix series Ginny & Georgia, and soon he’ll appear on the new Netflix series Maid.
Boyfriends of Christmas Past also stars Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Susan Hanson and Jenna Katz. The movie was directed by Don McBrearty from a script by Lisa Kyonga Parson, based on Edie Grace’s novel
