Hallmark Channel You, Me and the Christmas Trees: Synopsis, cast, how to watch
Hallmark Channel star Danica McKellar is helping to kick off Countdown to Christmas 2021 with her all-new holiday movie You, Me and the Christmas Trees. The movie features a reunion for McKellar with her co-star from The Wonder Years, Jason Hervey.
You, Me and the Christmas Trees synopsis
Olivia (McKellar) is Connecticut’s expert on evergreen trees and she gets a call from Jack (Benjamin Ayres) who needs help to determine why trees are dying on his tree farm just days away from Christmas. The farm has been in his family for 100 years so losing these trees is personal to him.
Earlier in the year Olivia called off her wedding, a wedding that was supposed to take place at Christmas, so she’s very happy to have a distraction and a reason to avoid going home for the holidays. She heads to Jack’s tree farm in Avon and gets to work solving the mystery. The more she works with Jack, the closer they get.
You, Me and the Christmas Trees cast
Danica McKellar (Olivia) is widely known for her portrayal of Winnie Cooper on The Wonder Years, but after the show ended she went to UCLA and graduated with a degree in mathematics in addition to continuing her acting career. She has written 10 math books for kids and she is working hard to end the stigma surrounding “math nerds.” She will be a judge on Domino Masters coming up in January, and in addition to starring in several Hallmark movies she’s also serving as an executive producer on several Hallmark movies.
Benjamin Ayres (Jack) is known for his role as Dr. Zachary Miller on Saving Hope. He received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for his work on Less Than Kind. He’s also appeared on over 40 TV series and movies over the years.
Jason Hervey plays Dwayne, a rival tree farmer in You, Me and the Christmas Trees. After starring as Kevin Arnold’s older brother Wayne on The Wonder Years, Hervey transitioned to being a full time producer. Along with his company Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television, Hervey produced over 300 hours of iMPACT Wrestling for Spike TV along with several other original productions.
