Jen Lilley, Hallmark Hunks are back for Christmas University fundraiser
Christmas Is Not Cancelled is back for some yuletide merriment to help raise money for kids through the Christmas University initiative benefitting Toys for Tots and Childhelp. Christmas fans (and Hallmark Channel fans) can sign up to participate in fun activities with a “college” theme and all proceeds go to charity.
Hallmark star Jen Lilley is one of the founding members of Christmas Is Not Cancelled, which was created in 2020 to help raise money for kids in foster care, a cause that’s near and dear to her heart. She recruited her fellow Hallmark stars to make fun videos to promote the organization, and thus the Hallmark Hunks were born.
Christmas University features Hallmark stars raising money for kids
Starting October 14, fans can participate in fun activities like learning how to wrap presents, play games with Hallmark stars and learning how to make fun holiday-themed treats. Every dollar spent on the site enters fans into drawings for amazing prizes that include cash, trips, plane tickets, Balsam Hill Christmas trees and so much more.
Fans can also join in the fun during a celebrity virtual game night pitting the The Darlings (Debbie Matenopoulos, Lacey Chabert, Candace Cameron-Bure and Jen Lilley) against The Hunks (Andrew Walker, Cameron Mathison, Paul Greene and Kevin McGarry) with host Tony Moore.
The Hallmark Christmas hunks included in the promotional video include Jesse Metcalfe, Marcus Rosner, Wes Brown, Cameron Mathison, Eric Martsolf, Will Kemp, Trevor Donovan, Chris McNally, Paul Greene, Jesse Hutch, Brant Daugherty, Billy Flynn, Paul Campbell, Antonio Cupo, Andrew Walker and Chris Russell.
Christmas Is Not Cancelled brought fans Camp Christmas in July 2021 to raise money to purchase backpacks for foster kids going back to school. Each backpack was full of supplies that kids need to be successful in school, but oftentimes foster kids don’t have access to these items.
Fans came through in full force, helping to raise enough money so that 3,000 backpacks could be donated to kids in foster care. Like Camp Christmas, Christmas University is a chance to give back while having fun, building community and meeting new people. It’s a win-win!
