We’ve finally learned when we can start fanning over The Book of Boba Fett, thanks to the official Star Wars Twitter account. The wait is finally over! Well, it’s very close to being over.

The poster announced the release date of December 29th, 2021. Not long of a wait from now and close to winter solstice holidays. If that wasn’t enough, the caption introduced us to the official show as well as teasing us ever so slightly about the plot. Here is what we know.

The Book of Boba Fett announces release date

His story is only beginning? Does that mean we’re going to back to his life before The Empire Strikes Back? Or does that mean that he’s at the beginning of his redemption journey? Either way, we’re going to be able to see the famed bounty hunter start a new chapter in his life and see his progression.

Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing his life after his adventures with Din Djarin in The Mandalorian. Taking over the criminal syndicate in Mos Eisley seems a lot more exciting then his life leading up to the films. Exploring Mos Eisley more can add even more depth lore to the stories.

The creatives behind bringing this to the small screen includes Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett) and Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) who will star in the spinoff, with Robert Rodriguez joining as executive producer, along with The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. Many fans will have a lot of faith behind those names.

What do you think about the release date of the show? Are you super pumped for the show or are you not going to pay much attention to it? Let us know what you think!
