The Highland Fling by Meghan Quinn

Those who’d rather journey to Scotland than England should consider grabbing a copy of Meghan Quinn’s The Highland Fling when it hits shelves this month. The novel sees its main character, Bonnie St. James, embracing a change of scenery. So what if she’s been fired from multiple jobs? That just gives her the chance to apply to a coffee shop in the Scottish Highlands and embark on an adventure.

Bonnie and her friend head to Corsekelly, and they’re immediately drawn to the new environment and the people in it. Well, except for one person. Rowan MacGregor, a handyman who works in town, isn’t all that fond of Bonnie, especially when he’s got other issues to contend with:

"“As Bonnie and Rowan’s paths inevitably cross, insults — and sparks — fly. Can the pair build on their similarities to help each other find purpose and direction…and maybe romance too? Or will their passionate tempers fling them apart?”"

If the gorgeous setting doesn’t sell you on The Highland Fling, surely the hate-to-love romance will. There’s no shortage of those coming out this month, and each one sounds better than the next. The Highland Fling arrives in ebook, audiobook, and print formats on Aug. 24, 2021.
