Now that Driven Season 2 has arrived on Passionflix, fans can’t get enough of the spectacular cast. During the red carpet premiere in July, fans were treated to a special Q&A with the cast following the debut of the first two episodes and they learned that there was a little bromance going on behind the scenes.

When Passionflix director of development Lauren Olsen brought up the bromance between Michael Roark and Bryce Durfee, Durfee had to laugh. “Oh man, I’ve been waiting for this moment all night,” he said.

Driven Season 2 bromance: Was it Bryce and Michael or Becks and Colton?

It just so happened that he’d have to wait for his moment a little longer, because Olivia Applegate commandeered the microphone.

“Before I hand this off I just have to say there was one day when Michael and I were running lines in my dressing room and this little slip of paper slid under the door. It was Bryce. He had written a love letter to Michael. I mean, Bryce wrote it to Michael, but he wrote it as Becks to Colton…but we all knew that it was actually Bryce to Michael. Anyway, okay, here you go,” she said, passing the microphone off to Durfee.

“Wow, I’m glad I get to field this question and not Michael,” he said. “Yeah, I wasn’t going to do the second movie and then they sent the headshot over to my house. Of course I’m going to do the movie!”

Needless to say, the audience went nuts.

“Yeah, we had a bromance,” he continued. “You didn’t see it [on the screen in the first two episodes] but there was a lot of it going on, I promise you. It annoyed the living s**t out of Tosca [Musk] and Olivia, and literally everyone else on set, to the point where we’re filming these long days and these poor souls are just putting in overtime and hours and it’s so amazing. And I’m all to set all fresh, like ‘hey man, let’s f**k off.’ And Tosca was like, ‘Bryce, just get the f**k out of the room, just shut up and get out of the room.’”

At that point Durfee paused and looked at Musk and his co-stars. “Does that do it justice? We could go on. I can go on for days if you guys like me to, but I probably shouldn’t…”

It’s not surprising to hear that close bonds were formed while filming Driven Season 2 because seasons 2 and 3 were filmed back to back in the middle of the pandemic, which thrust the cast into uncertain territory as everyone navigated the complexities of COVID-19 protocol.

Durfee’s Beckett didn’t have a large role in the first season but he has been killing it in season 2 and there’s a lot more to look forward to as the rest of the season plays out and fans look ahead to season 3.
