When does Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas 2021 begin?

Choreographer Katie and skater Jessica are performing in San Senova, when Katie bumps into Alexander unaware he’s Royalty. Labeled “The Grinch King,” Alexander doesn’t have much Christmas spirit but he’s a good father to Christina, so when she wants a Founder’s Day pageant, he summons Katie and Jessica for help. It’s then he discovers who Katie is, and she learns he’s the King. As sparks between them ignite, Katie and Alexander become close, and Katie helps Christina get over her fears. But Katie has her own fears to face, like skating for an injured Jessica and falling for a King. The countdown to the Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas has begun! There are officially less than 100 days until the Hallmark Channel kicks off its annual bacchanalia of blissful holiday celebrations, but you can get the fun started early if you can’t wait that long.

Hallmark will launch its Countdown to Christmas celebration on October 23, 2021. A brand new original movie starring Jordin Sparks, A Christmas Treasure, will help kick off the festivities.

For holiday fans and fans of Hallmark’s feel-good holiday movies, Countdown to Christmas means around the clock holiday movies and the debut of all-new Hallmark original movies every week until the big day.

Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas 2021 begins in October

The announcement came amid Hallmark’s Christmas In July programming. June 25 is the official six-month mark until the big day and the Hallmark family of networks use that day to kick off the summer holiday fun. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries launched Christmas in July 2021 on June 25 before the celebration moved over to the Hallmark Channel on July 9.

Not only are we so excited about Countdown to Christmas, but news that former American Idol winner Jordin Sparks is headlining the first original movie of Countdown to Christmas makes it all the merrier. Sparks will play Lou, a young woman who is caught between a big move to New York and staying home to carry out a family obligation. A Christmas Treasure is bound to be one of the new classics, with Sparks performing “This Christmas” and “O Holy Night” for the movie.

Hallmark debuted the first Christmas movie of 2021 during Christmas in July. Crashing Through the Snow, starring Amy Acker and Warren Christie, was the most watched program of the week among households and women over 18. Clearly you’re not alone in wanting to embrace the holidays a little early this year!
