With the countdown to the holidays beginning, the new Walt Disney World Resorts holiday celebrations will definitely be merry and bright. While Magic Kingdom will be in full 50th-anniversary mode, the holiday season is always special at Disney Parks. Even though Santa might have all the toys and tricks in his winter wonderland, Walt Disney World is always overflowing with holiday magic.

For many people, the holiday magic at Walt Disney World Resorts has become a tradition. Whether it is the family picture in front of the many Christmas trees or enjoying the gingerbread houses at the various hotels, the winter wonderland has an extra sprinkling of pixie dust.

In a recent Disney Parks announcement, a few new experiences have been revealed. Although some people would have preferred for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party to have returned, the reality is that these new experiences are quite delightful, too. Sometimes a little tweak in the celebrations can make them feel even more memorable.

What new Walt Disney World Resorts holiday celebrations will top your must-see list?

New at Magic Kingdom is the Disney Very Merriest After Hours event. As the first holiday event of the season on November 8, guests will have four hours to enjoy all of Magic Kingdom with smaller crowds.

Throughout the theme park, guests will enjoy holiday décor, treats, and music. Of course, the fireworks are back and the Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks will have everyone feeling the holiday spirit.

The Disney Very Merriest After Hours event will be held on select nights from November 8 through December 21. It is a separately ticketed event and tickets will go on sale soon.

Many people remember Disney’s Hollywood Studios special Christmas light display. Although the décor has changed, Sunset Seasons Greetings transforms the Tower of Terror into the Hollywood Holiday Tower Hotel. With the various projection technology, Disney holiday scenes will be displayed.

Other holiday events at Hollywood Studios include Minnie dining event at Hollywood & Vine, vintage holiday décor, Frozen sing-along, and Santa’s motorcade on Hollywood Boulevard.

At Animal Kingdom, the Tree of Life will feature a holiday edition of the Tree of Life Awakenings. Also, the Tree of life will become another Beacon of Magic on most nights. This display is part of the 50th-anniversary celebration.

Epcot will bring back its annual International Festival of the Holidays. While details on the holiday kitchens and offerings have not yet been revealed, everyone will want to enjoy the festivities and flavors around the world.
