Summer Nights 2021 continues on the Hallmark Channel with yet another all-new original movie. In The Baker’s Son a small town baker finds inspiration when a stranger visits the island, and the inspiration shows in the bread he bakes. When she leaves, the spark is gone and the townsfolk try to make him see that love was in front of him the whole time. Here’s everything you need to know about The Baker’s Son.

Synopsis

Matt (Brant Daugherty) is a baker in the small island town of Windward. When a ballerina arrives for a series of local performances he’s enamored. Suddenly, his infatuation starts to show through his bread, which takes on a life of its own. Word of mouth sends more and more people to the bakery – and the town – to sample Matt’s wares, but he loses the spark when the ballerina leaves town.

The town knows that Matt needs to find the spark again, and that means finding true love. What they know, and what he doesn’t realize, is that true love has been in front of him the whole time with his best friend Annie (Eloise Mumford).

Cast

The Baker’s Son is a reunion for Daugherty and Mumford, who both starred in 2018’s Fifty Shades Freed. Mumford appeared in all three movies of the Fifty Shades trilogy as Kate Kavanaugh while Daugherty played Anastasia’s bodyguard Sawyer.

Mumford is also known for her work on Chicago Fire and The Right Stuff in addition to several holiday movies including A Veteran’s Christmas and Just in Time for Christmas.

Daugherty starred in several episodes of Days of Our Lives in addition to roles in several series like Army Wives, Pretty Little Liars and Freakish. He’s no stranger to holiday movies either, with roles in Mingle All the Way and A Christmas Movie Christmas.
