The Paw Patrol movie will feature a new Adam Levine song
Paws up for Adam Levine! The Maroon 5 frontman and vocalist will have an exclusive track in the upcoming Paw Patrol movie.
The animated film is a take on the popular Nickelodeon children’s series Paw Patrol, whose story centers on a group of work-orientated puppies that problem-solve around the city of Adventure Bay. The film will be produced by the series’ production company, Spin Master Corporation, as well as CBSViacom Nickelodeon, and will be released by Paramount Pictures.
Levine’s new song will be titled “Good Mood” and was written by Swedish record producers and songwriters, Shellback and Oscar Görres, Adam Levine, and lastly, Savan Kotecha and is produced by both Shellback and Görres. The track is described as having an “upbeat” sound. Levine will be the executive producer of the song.
Levine’s wide array of entertainment credits include being a judge on NBC’s The Voice, multiple movie appearances, and his work as a television producer with his company 222 Productions.
According to Variety, the synopsis for the film is as follows:
"Ryder and the pups are called to Adventure City to stop Mayor Humdinger from turning the bustling metropolis into a state of chaos."
Levine won’t be the only famous face contributing to Paw Patrol: The Movie, either. Notable stars Kim Kardashian, Jimmy Kimmel, Tyler Perry, Randall Park, Dax Shepard, Yara Shahidi, Iain Armitage, Marsai Martin, and Will Brisbin will all lend their voices to new characters.
The main series voiceover cast will be taking part in the film, with Young Sheldon‘s Iain Armitage voicing Chase.
One of the new characters is a Dachshund puppy named Liberty (Marsai Martin) who will be joining the canine group to assist them in dismantling Humdinger’s mayoral conquest.
Paw Patrol is the first movie of several to be produced by Spin Master Corp. and was remotely created by a team of producers, artists, creators, and filmmakers due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is currently set to hit theaters on August 21.
