WandaVision’s Kat Dennings engaged to rocker Andrew W.K.

WandaVision’s Kat Dennings is about to become Mrs. W.K. after announcing her engagement to rocker Andrew W.K. one week after making their relationship Instagram official.

Fans wondered what was going on after both Dennings and Andrew W.K. started posting pictures of each other on their respective Instagram accounts. Dennings captured some particularly revealing photos of her beau, prompting half of the couple’s fans to praise the rocker’s stunning physique while the other half was left wanting to see the rest of the picture.

Kat Dennings: “Don’t mind if I do” in engagement photos

Dennings showed off her glittery ring in a social media post with the caption “Don’t mind if I do.” If you think her engagement seems to come out of the blue, you’re not alone. The couple started appearing together on social media on April 29, and a few short days later they’re engaged. Whether they were dating beforehand isn’t clear, but if their photos are any indication they’re an adorable couple.

(It’s worth noting, web sleuths, that Dennings’ IG stories feature photos of Elvira and Morticia Addams, both pregnant and knitting baby clothes, which sends the imagination into overdrive!)

Dennings has appeared in two Thor movies and the recently released WandaVision, as well as Two Broke Girls and other projects. She’s well known for her quick wit and for being able to deliver hilarious lines with a very straight face.

Andrew W.K. has been rocking out since the early 1990s. His studio first album, I Get Wet, was released in 2001. Its song “We Want Fun” became a mainstream hit when it appeared in the Jackass movie. Another breakout song from his first album is the alternative rock anthem “Party Hard”. (You’ll see many of his fans making “Party Hard” references to his physique and his relationship on his recent social media posts)

Amid the courtship and engagement news comes a brand new album from the singer. God Is Partying will be released in September and will be featured when the rocker returns to the road in a concert tour later in the year. (I have tickets for the LA concert, yay!) His new song “I’m in Heaven” was released in May 2021 and just might be in reference to his current state of bliss with new fiancee Dennings.

Though their engagement might come as a surprise to fans, Kat Dennings and Andrew W.K. are playing a very strong social media game right now and there is no question they love each other a lot, and at the end of the day that’s all that matters. Congrats to the happy couple!
