Cruella, The Bad Batch and everything else coming to Disney+ in May

Spring has officially sprung, and May’s warm weather is giving us plenty of reasons to head outside. Disney+, however, is doing just the opposite. Although the streamer’s lineup for this month is a little smaller than it’s been recently, there are quite a few exciting releases coming to Disney+ in May.

First up is The Bad Batch, the newest addition to the Star Wars franchise’s animated family. Set after the events of The Clone Wars, the show will follow Clone Force 99 — a squad of clone troopers with genetic mutations and a distaste for authority — as they go on missions throughout the galaxy. The new series premieres, appropriately, on May 4 and will have episodes dropping weekly.

The other big release for May arrives at the end of the month, and that’s Disney’s live-action Cruella. Starring Emma Stone, the film has generated lots of hype over the past few months and it’ll be exciting to see if it lives up to it. At this point, watching any new movie is a thrilling experience, and this one will debut on May 28 in theaters and on Disney+. (With Disney+, viewers will have to pay for premier access to watch.)

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is also returning this month, with its second season debuting on Disney+ on May 14. The show’s newest outing will see East High’s theater kids working on  a production of Beauty and the Beast. As you’d expect from anything related to High School Musical, there will be plenty of drama and plenty of music.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers is also continuing its run into May, and that’s just skimming the surface of what the streamer has to offer. Here’s everything that’s coming to Disney+ this month.
