While Disney is always full of magical moments, and the potential Disneyland Wakanda expansion has many people wondering if the often-requested theme park addition could come to fruition. Based on a recent Disney announcement, some people are speculating that a Black Panther-themed area could actually happen.

A visit to Disney Parks allows guests to step into a fantasy world. It is more than just thrill rides and Mickey Mouse waving to the crowds. The reality is that people want to step into the worlds that they have seen in their favorite movies or books. From the exacting details to feeling as if they have stepped into the screen itself, the magic is being able to leave the real world behind and become part of the story.

While many people have favorite Disney Parks memories from childhood, the reality is that the evolution of Disney keeps people coming back. The blend of nostalgia and innovation makes each visit as exciting for the oldest member of the family as it is for the youngest. As the stories are told after the Pixie Dust settles, the reality is that those moments leave an etching that needs to be filled with future memories.

Could Disneyland Forward include a Disneyland Wakanda expansion?

According to a recent Disney announcement, the Disneyland Forward project is set to add various components to Disneyland. Believed to be included in this expansion are theme park experiences, restaurants, shopping, and more.

As shared on DisneylandForward.com, potential areas of expansion include Frozen, Peter Pan, and Tangled, Zootopia, Toy Story Land, and TRON Lightcycle/Run. But, there is no mention of a Disneyland Wakanda expansion or a Black Panther-themed experience.

Still, Walt Disney World News Today speculates that a Wakanda-themed area could still be possible. Even as the Marvel expansion will hopefully open later this year, many people want a stand-alone Black Panther experience. Even if Disney had such an area planned, that information would not be revealed until it was ready.

Previously, some Disney fans had hoped that Black Panther-themed experiences would come to Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World. Recently, that theme park has seen Raya and the Last Dragon experiences incorporated for a limited time. The Dinosaurland area has had many people hoping for its transformation into a Black Panther-themed experience.

Although some Disney fans might have wished for a more elaborate Disneyland expansion, the reality is that the past year has been difficult for theme parks. As gates start to slowly re-open, a gigantic expansion would not likely happen quickly. Even as Disney World has postponed some of its highly anticipated openings, the reality is that expansion news, even if smaller, is good for fans.

For now, the Disneyland Forward project will have many people speculating if a Disneyland Wakanda experience is coming. As Walt Disney has said “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” Like Disney magic, almost anything is possible.
