Could Britney Spears be heading to a tell-all interview with Oprah? According to Entertainment Tonight, it’s definitely in the realm of possibility as the pop singer considers how she could tell her story in light of the recent unauthorized Hulu documentary Framing Britney Spears.

Britney has never been fond of interviews, but sources say if she did decide to do an interview, it would be with Oprah, similar to the one Oprah did with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, as a way to dispel rumors and reassure fans. It would also allow her to get her truth into the public light.

Like Meghan and Harry, Britney has always been in the media spotlight from the moment she became a music sensation in the 1990s. Her disdain of the media is understandable, given how the paparazzi hounded her throughout the ups and downs of her career, but Oprah is a trusted figure among celebrities and politicians, and viewers have always been able to trust information that comes from her.

Britney Spears’ desire to tell her story spurred by support from friends, fans

In addition to getting her story out into the world, sources say that Britney is inspired by the outpouring of support from fans and famous friends like Kim Kardashian West and Miley Cyrus.

As the battle over her conservatorship continues, now is the perfect time for Britney to speak out. In her upcoming April hearing, her attorney will request that licensed conservator Jodi Montgomery take full control over her estate and her person, removing her father Jamie from having control over her. Montgomery took over for Jamie in 2019 when he was having some health issues, and Britney wants her to oversee her affairs.

It’s still very unclear why Britney is under the control of a conservatorship at all. It has been in place since 2008 when she was in the middle of some health and mental health issues, and the courts keep extending it even though she seems like she is able to care for herself.

Though she certainly doesn’t owe anyone answers, sources say that Britney appreciates the support she’s receiving from fans. An interview would be a way for Britney to dispel the myths and rumors once and for all, setting the record straight so that her fans will understand the situation from her perspective.

Oprah would be the best person for the job because the seasoned interviewer is skilled at getting answers without putting her guests on the spot, and that’s something Britney needs right now.
