Meghan and Harry: The Sussexes are expecting a baby girl

Amid the numerous bombshells that came out of Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Meghan and Harry, there was a bright spot that came when the couple announced that they are expecting a baby girl this summer.

Oprah’s interview with Meghan and Harry was filled with jaw-dropping revelations about Meghan’s experience with the Royal Family, bolstered by Harry’s assertion that they had to leave in order to keep history from repeating itself.

Harry, who lost his mom Diana after the press hounded her for her entire adult life, knew that he couldn’t leave his wife and son in the middle of a monarchy that wouldn’t protect them, so he took matters into his own hands.

Meghan and Harry will welcome a daughter and their family will be complete

With the announcement that Meghan is expecting a baby girl this summer, the couple confirmed that their family will be complete. They will have Archie and their daughter, and their two dogs, and that’s enough for them.

It was so wonderful to see them smile and laugh and hold each other’s hands in the middle of such a deeply troubling but powerful interview. There’s no question that their decision to leave the Royal Family was the right thing to do.

Meghan and Harry revealed that their security detail was pulled in early 2020, just after the announcement that they would reside in Canada to continue serving the Queen in the Commonwealth, but the decision to pull their security detail forced them to find a place where they could ensure they would be safe and that happened to be at Tyler Perry’s house in Los Angeles.

A year after leaving the Royal Family, the couple is thriving in their own house with a baby on the way. They are thriving, but they’re also recovering from the trauma they experienced. As they continue to settle, they do so with the peace of mind knowing that they were able to escape the trappings of the monarchy so that they can build the life they want while playing by their own rules.
