PassionFlix releases a complete list of its optioned books

Looking for your next great weekend read? PassionFlix has released a complete list of all the books that have been optioned and it’s time to start checking them off your to-be-read list.

The list of optioned books is a lot longer than it would have been a year ago because several projects were supposed to be filmed in 2020 but the pandemic changed those plans. PassionFlix was able to complete filming for Wicked and two seasons of the Driven Series toward the end of 2020 and work is currently underway on Gabriel’s Rapture.

It might seem like a tall order to bring so many projects to life, but CEO and Founder Tosca Musk has devised a system that allows for filming to be completed quickly, usually in a matter of weeks. While one movie films, others can be in pre-production or post-production, and that means several projects can be in the works at the same time.

If the schedule holds, fans can expect to see the premiere of Fueled, Crashed, Wicked and the first installment of Gabriel’s Rapture in 2021. And while those projects debut there are several more in the works.

Author Kylie Scott recently posted on Instagram that she was meeting with director Louise Alston, who will bring her book Lick to life.

Jodi Ellen Malpas has been chatting with fans about casting for This Man, which could begin filming later this year once a filming location has been identified. Ideally, filming will take place somewhere in the UK but the pandemic could force PassionFlix to find an alternate filming location.

At the moment, everything hinges on safety. With COVID-19 still a big threat as cases ebb and flow around the world, finding safe places to film and being able to get the cast to those locations is a challenge. Safety has been Musk’s top concern not only are her sets safe, but they’re also incredibly productive as the cast and crew works hard to get the job done as expediently as possible.

As the list of optioned books weave through the various stages of pre-production, filming and post-production (and the many steps in between), there is time to get caught up on your reading.

Many of the books on the optioned books list are the first books in a series from the author, and it won’t be long before you’re down a wonderful rabbit hole of romance.
