Hallmark looks ahead to warmer weather with their Spring Fling programming. According to an exclusive Deadline report, the network has found its leads for Irish love story As Luck Would Have It with JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Allen Leech.

The Hallmark Channel and its sister station Hallmark Movies & Mysteries have been leading the entertainment industry with their holiday movie takeover from October through New Year’s Eve, with a dash of holiday spirit thrown in for good measure.

The feel-good fun doesn’t end when the holidays are over, though, as both channels present an entire slate of original romantic comedies, mysteries and feel-good movies throughout the rest of the year. In fact, Hallmark is busy working on original programming all year round to meet its need for new content.

As Luck Would Have It is yet another Hallmark original movie set outside the United States, which means a fun story set in beautiful places. In this case, Swisher’s Lindsey is on the hunt for land in Ireland to build the perfect resort. Lindsey wants the endeavor to be a success and that means getting buy-in from the community. When the opportunity to participate in the local matchmaking festival presents itself, Lindsey sees it as the perfect display of goodwill. It also leads her to a local man, played by Leech, who changes everything.

As Luck Would Have It will be part of The Hallmark Channel’s Spring Fling

Michelle Vicary, EVP Programming at Crown Media Family Networks, is very excited to have Swisher and Leech on board. “Between its charming leads and lushly authentic Irish setting, viewers are sure to be captivated by this sweet, lighthearted romance.”

Swisher is known for her roles in Sweet Magnolias, Once Upon a Time and The Internship, while Leech has appeared in everything from Downton Abbey to Bohemian Rhapsody.
