Mark Hamill is as obsessed with Bernie memes as we are
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ inauguration on January 20 featured lots of history-making moments, but it was the unexpected moments – like Al Gore joining everyone from the Moon – that really captured the minds and hearts of fans across the World Wide Web. For Star Wars actor Mark Hamill, the Bernie Sanders memes were one of the big highlights of the day and he’s sharing them with the rest of us across social media.
Thus far, it’s hard to find a place where Bernie Sanders hasn’t shown up since the image of him bundled with his mittens on the steps of the United States Capitol first popped up.
From hanging out with Deadpool to sitting at the head of the Hall H line at San Diego Comic Con, he’s everywhere. Fans of The Office have been having fun adding him to one of the many meetings featured on the show.
Most notably, though, are his many appearances across the Star Wars Universe. And that’s where Hamill comes in.

Hamill is partial to the meme of Bernie in a bacta tank, but there is plenty of love for all of the memes to go around.
After everything that has happened over the past several years, and while we continue to deal with the raging pandemic and all of the other issues facing us, it’s nice to pause for a moment to laugh together. The Bernie memes have given us something to enjoy as a collective group of people who are looking ahead to the future with hope for the first time in a long time.
