The highly anticipated second season of A Discovery of Witches is proving that fans are eager for as much All Souls Trilogy content that Sky TV can muster as it becomes the most binged returning series in the UK.

The show posted the news on their social media to the delight of fans who have been patiently awaiting the new season, which premiered earlier this month. Sky made the entire second season available to viewers, though it’s also airing on a weekly basis for UK viewers as it is here in the United States.

According to the show’s social media, fans have turned out to binge the second season like no other show in the UK.

The decision to run the series weekly while also dropping the whole series at once was risky, but it seems to have paid off for Sky TV. Fans who want to watch weekly can do so, uniting on social media to share the experience with others, while those who don’t want to wait can watch it all as they please. From the look of things, there are plenty of fans who did both.

How To Watch A Discovery of Witches Season 2 In The US

For viewers in the United States, season 2 premiered on January 9 on AMC+, Shudder and Sundance Now. The show’s entire first season debuted on both Shudder and Sundance Now in April 2019, and with the show’s massive success AMC Networks decided to release it weekly on two of its networks along with its new AMC+ streaming service.

Since US viewers have to wait for new episodes each week, though, it has been very encouraging to hear such high praise for the series.

A Discovery of Witches follows the story of reluctant witch Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) and vampire Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode) as they seek out a mysterious book, Ashmole 782, that has huge implications for the future of the remaining creatures in the world.

The series is based on author Deborah Harkness’ All Souls Trilogy, with each season following the plot of a book. Harkness has since written a fourth book that operates in the same All Souls universe, and Sky TV indicated during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con that there is interest in pursuing the series beyond the first three books.
