The internet is losing it over this Star Wars celebrity friendship

Star Wars actors Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal rang in the new year together, and the internet is losing it over this celebrity friendship.

With The Mandalorian season two over and done with, Star Wars fans need something to keep them occupied while they await the third season of the Disney+ series and The Book of Boba Fett. (And no, arguing over The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker doesn’t count.)

Following New Year’s Eve, it seems some fans are staying busy by celebrating a celebrity friendship between two popular actors within the franchise: Pedro Pascal and Oscar Isaac. Pascal, who plays the lead in The Mandalorian, and Isaac, who portrayed Poe Dameron in the sequel trilogy of films, rang in the new year together. And almost as soon as filmmaker Elvira Lind, who is is married to Isaac, shared a photo of the celebrations, it began to go viral.

(I mean, seriously though, look at these two. How could it not go viral?)

The photo has been making the rounds on Twitter for the past two days, surely a sign that 2021 is off to a better start than 2020 (at least, we can hope, anyway).

And as soon as Twitter users began sharing the one photo, other images of the two hanging out together started to surface. It seems the silliness between Pascal and Isaac goes way back — and it’s just too adorable not to share, especially during these trying times.

One Twitter user shared several photos of the two with the caption, “oscar isaac and pedro pascal world domination please,” and I mean, it’s hard to argue with that take.

Another person expressed the wish that everyone “enter 2021 with the same love Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal have for each other,” and that’s definitely the energy we’d love to carry into this year.

If there’s one takeaway from the beginning of 2021, it seems to be this: Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal are #friendshipgoals. If only we could get these two in a Star Wars project together. (Make it happen, Lucasfilm!)
