At Gaylord Hotels, the holidays are filled with “I Love Christmas Movies.”

For guests of Gaylord Hotels, the holidays celebrations are like stepping into iconic scenes from their favorite holiday movies. In this year’s holiday celebrations and displays, the “I Love Christmas Movies” theme shows how favorite holiday movies can bring everyone together this holiday season.

In pop culture, some movie moments are usually well known. From certain songs featured in childhood classic tales to humorous holiday scenes that are quite relatable, movies have become part of holiday traditions. Whether you watch those movies once a season or play them on repeat, they add to the merriment of the season.

For Gaylord Hotels, this year’s holiday celebrations bring scenes of those favorite holiday movies to life. In its I Love Christmas Movies holiday event, guests can stroll through and step into the Griswold Thanksgiving dinner, visit Elf’s magical Santa’s workshop, and even pose in front of that infamous leg lamp. Even during this year’s socially distant holiday season, this celebration of holiday tradition allows everyone to find a little joy as the year comes to a close.

This year’s 17,000-square-foot pop-up event blends the movie scenes with other fun activities. From a gingerbread decorating corner to a Build a Bear workshop, both young and old will be immersed in the holiday experience.

In previous years, these holiday events have included a frozen playground where ice sculptures and frigid temperatures make everyone feel like they hand stepped into Santa’s backyard. While this year’s celebrations might not need a parka, the sentiment behind the celebrations seem even more poignant. Those classic holiday movies  are a constant each year and connect people in the way only movies can. Whether you can quote lines verbatim or fast forward to only certain scenes, those holiday traditions always fill the season with joy.

The I Love Christmas Movies holiday pop up event runs now through January 3, 2021. The pop-up event is a special ticketed event open to both hotel guests and the public.
