Supergirl season 6: Predicting how each major character’s story will end

How will Kara Danvers’ story end in Supergirl season 6?

Melissa Benoist giving birth to her first child between seasons 5 and 6 had a lot to do with the network’s decision to end the show. Understandably, Benoist wanted to have more time to be with her family and, rumor has it, Kara will not be featured in the first couple of episodes of season 6 due to Benoist being on maternity leave. However, Benoist’s posts on social media have reassured fans of the show that she is committed to ending the show on a high note.

At the end of season 5, we see Kara and Lena (Katie McGrath) take steps toward mending their broken friendship. Whether you’re a Supercorp shipper or not, we definitely need to see more of the two of them working on their friendship in season 6. We barely got to see them discuss what happened between them before they had to go up against Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer) and the sinister group, Leviathan. Kara spent a lot of time during season 5 broken up about the rift between herself and Lena. In season 6, we need to see a return to Kara’s former optimistic and hopeful self, in all aspects of her life.

While some fans seem to want her to travel to the future to reunite with Mon-El (Chris Woods), we don’t think that will be the case. With the restart of the Earth-Prime universe, there are new worlds that have yet to be discovered, and we wouldn’t be surprised if Supergirl pulled a Captain Marvel and left Earth to help other planets. Perhaps even to help build a new Krypton or Argo City; a place that is inclusive of all alien life.
