Batwoman fans have been starving for more information about the show’s upcoming second season. But now we have our first look at our new hero.

Following season one’s impromptu ending and Ruby Rose’s departure from the show’s lead role, fans of The CW’s Batwoman have had very little to work with heading into season two. We know the plot surrounds Kate Kane’s disappearance, and we know Javicia Leslie’s Ryan Wilder will be taking up the cape, but outside of that, viewers have been starving for more information about the series’ future.

And although we’ve yet to see a trailer or receive new plot details about the upcoming episodes, there was one exciting development this weekend: our first look at Leslie rocking the Batsuit. It was only a matter of time until we saw our new lead in action, especially now that filming has restarted in Vancouver. And the actress shared a photo of her donning the mask and wig to her Instagram account.

“Look out Gotham,” Leslie wrote, “I’m suited up and ready to go… But just wait until Ryan Wilder puts her own spin on the Batsuit.”

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a tad longer to see what Ryan Wilder’s new spin on the costume will be. The photo shared by Leslie only shows her face, so there’s no telling what the rest of the suit could look like. Still, she’s looking stunning in the mask — and if there’s one thing Batwoman has gotten right so far, it’s the hero’s aesthetic.

With filming underway, it seems likely we’ll see even more of Leslie in the Batsuit soon. (We’ll be over here crossing our fingers for a trailer or some new footage.) In the meantime, at least we have social media to hold us over….
