Fan-favorite Da’Vonne Rogers was evicted for the third time in her Big Brother career, just moments before BB legend Dr. Will Kirby moved in next door to shake up the game.

Another week, another eviction –  and The Committee still reigns supreme in the Big Brother 22 house. After Ian was the first all-star (and winner) to be sent to the jury house, Memphis pulled out yet another HOH win, securing his safety and setting his sights on his longtime nemesis David.

However, after Tyler pulled out a win in the veto competition and kept nominations the same, it was Da’Vonne who ended up paying for her use of the veto last week, and she was evicted by a vote of 5-2.

Before the episode ended, though, we got some exciting new twists – not only did BB legend/icon/GOAT Dr. Will Kirby move in as the BB “Neighbor’, but Julie Chen announced that for the first time in BB history, the show would be following in the footsteps of BB Canada and having a triple eviction next week.

Memphis sets his sights on David – but doesn’t nominate him

Memphis’ HOH win (his second of the season) meant that not only was he safe for the week, but his majority alliance, The Committee, was safe as well. As such, unless he planned on going against his alliance and making some major waves, his nomination pool was down to Da’Vonne, Kevin, David, and Enzo. Of course, Enzo has been close with the committee, so despite the fact that he’s not formally in the alliance, his goodwill floater strategy pretty much ensured his safety. It didn’t matter much anyway – as since practically week one, Memphis has had it out for David.

Still, though, Memphis didn’t want to give his number one target the opportunity to play in veto and secure his safety, so he put up the two remaining options- Kevin and Da’Vonne, with the hope that the veto would get used and David could be backdoored

A zing-tastic veto.

Post-nominations, tensions were running a little high – yet again, Memphis’ nominations inadvertently upset the rest of his alliance, but things couldn’t stay tense for very long, because everyone’s favorite roasting robot ZINGBOT made his triumphant return to the BB house yet again.

The gameplay hasn’t been particularly riveting (or even surprising) for the past few weeks, so it was nice to have a familiar face (or display?) showing up to cause a little chaos – we were particularly big fans of Zingbot’s wedding-themed zing for Nicole. However, with the fun out of the way, the veto had to be played, and it was Tyler who ended up pulling out the win – which Memphis thought was good news.

Noms stay the same – again

Although Memphis was sure that his alliance-mate Tyler would do his bidding and help him backdoor David, Tyler has been aligned with David for weeks now, and he and Cody both agreed that either Kevin or Da’Vonne would be a much bigger threat in the game. So, much to Memphis’ chagrin, Tyler didn’t use the veto – keeping nominations the same, and ensuring that either Kevin or Da’Vonne would be sent to the jury house.

Although things from then to eviction night were portrayed fairly plainly on the episode this week, there was one other event that shook up the house but didn’t make the edit – yet another wall yeller. This time, the message revealed to Da’Vonne that Nicole was a liar and the one who flipped the vote last week.

That message finally made it clear to Da’Vonne that David didn’t actually betray her, but the message was too little too late – she was already headed out the door. Come eviction night, after an iconic speech citing some of the most legendary black women to play Big Brother, Da’Vonne exited with grace after a 5-2 vote, vowing that she would remember anybody who lied to her face and vote accordingly when in the jury.

Won’t you be my BB neighbor?

But there’s no rest for the wicked – just moments after Da’Vonne was evicted, Big Brother threw this week’s new twists at the houseguest – and it comes in the form of the silver fox bb legend himself, Dr. Will Kirby. Will, who appeared in a bathrobe and a coffee mug while standing on a balcony overlooking the backyard, told the houseguests that he would be moving in as the “BB neighbor”.

Although we’re not exactly sure what “neighbor week” will entail, Will did mention the houseguests having to decide between prizes and power, so it seems like the HGs will be offered some tempting alternatives to the HOH and the Veto this week.

But even that wasn’t the end of the exciting news – after Will’s segment ended, we got our final piece of exciting news for the night. Following in the grand tradition of Big Brother Canada, next week will be the first-ever triple eviction on BB US – you read that right – THREE houseguests will be heading to jury in a two-hour special episode next Thursday. Although we ended the episode without finding out who’s in power, the promise of Will stirring up trouble and a triple eviction is enough to keep us on our toes until next Thursday.

This Week’s Big Brother Superlatives

Clutch Play of the Week: Tyler winning the POV and keeping noms the same most likely kept David in the house another week.

Most Memorable Moment:  We’re giving it a three-way-tie: Nicole’s zing, the reveal of Dr. Will as the neighbor, and the news about the triple eviction.

Houseguest in the Best Spot: Regardless of who wins HOH, we can’t picture Enzo or Cody going anywhere this week (but who knows – with the triple, anything could happen)
