There’s a chill in the air, but that doesn’t mean summer is dead yet. Keep that warm feeling for a bit longer with these summer-y bops!

There are two types of people in the world: ones who love summer, and the ones counting the days until they can break out their cozy sweaters and drink a PSL from Starbucks. As soon as the temperature starts to drop and the sun starts to set earlier, the latter are ready to call it autumn –but for the others, summer isn’t over until it’s over!

Sure, it’s officially fall on September 22, but with so many fresh, summer-y new songs that came out in the past month, it’s hard to let go of the warm season so quickly! Summer seemed to fly by quicker than usual this year, what with quarantine and everything else going on in the world. Thanks to these five songs, we can celebrate summer just a little bit longer, because nothing says “let’s go to the beach and have a cocktail!” quite like the sounds of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion.

“Del Mar” by Ozuna, Sia & Doja Cat

“Del Mar” has all the makings of a summer smash. A Latin flavor? Check. Vocals from Sia? Check. A feature from one of the hottest female rappers? Check. The song is a laid back track that will make you sway your hips, even if you don’t speak Spanish. It’s a shame it wasn’t released back in June so it would’ve had the whole summer to blow up speakers. It would’ve been perfect for lounging in the sun, so we’ll have to take advantage of those last few sunny days!

“WAP” by Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion

Everyone can agree that “WAP” quickly became one of the songs of the summer — even if it was released in August. The song was an instant smash for its tongue in cheek (to say the least) lyrics, sexy celeb-filled music video, and the viral TikTok dance it spawned. The track may be one of the most vulgar of the year — no surprise coming from confident women like Megan and Cardi — but that didn’t stop it from going to No. 1! The biggest shame? The fact that we can’t dance to it in a club!

“Tick Tock” by Clean Bandit & Mabel Feat. 24kGoldn

Clean Bandit are no strangers to having summer smashes, but their track with Mabel and 24kGoldn may have come a bit too late in the summer to have the same impact as, say, “Rockabye” from 2016. Either way, it still sounds like a quintessential summer hit, with its catchy lyrics and trademark Clean Bandit sound.

“Midnight Sky” by Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus certainly made waves when she returned to the scene with “Midnight Sky.” Aside from her new rocker chic look, the singer was trying out a new sound — and boy, was it a good one. The song features a synthy disco-rock fusion sound reminiscent of Blondie, Prince, and Stevie Nicks and impassioned lyrics. It’s the perfect song to blast from your car on a quiet summer night, but thankfully, it’ll work just as well for a chilly fall night, too.

“Relación Remix” by Sech, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin Feat. Rosalía, Farruko

There’s truly nothing that shouts summer more than an infectious Latin earworm. So when you combine some of the top Latin artists in the industry on one remix, you just know you have something doo coming. “Relación Remix” features Sech, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin Feat. Rosalía and Farruko, who’ve all been responsible for some real bangers in their own right. While you try to hold on to those last few days of summer, blast this from your speakers, put your sunglasses on, and try to ignore the fact that winter is just around the corner!
