Ginny Weasley star Bonnie Wright took to Twitter to share a message of support for Harry Potter fans who were upset by J.K. Rowling’s tweets and blog post over the last few days.

Bonnie Wright was another member of the Harry Potter cast to speak out against J.K. Rowling’s transphobic remarks. But while many are using their platforms to share organizations to donate to, Wright also shared a message for fans of the series.

Taking to Twitter, she pointed out that if the series was a source of love, that love can still exist with judgment because it is, after all, our series.

The thing is: Bonnie Wright is right. This series is no longer just something created by Rowling. It has grown beyond that and is now something for the fans and has lead to many of us creating so many things because of it. There is a world of fanfiction, friendships that have been made since many of us were children, and that world doesn’t suddenly just vanish.

It’s important to remember that this series, where it matters, is ours. We made it into this successful thing, we talked about it and continue to bring it up and yes, J.K. Rowling wrote it but that doesn’t mean it’s just hers. It’s ours and we can love the friendships created or the art we fell in love with because that’s always going to be there for us all.

Seeing messages from the cast are beautiful and even though Rowling has been saying things that many of us don’t agree with, at least we have the cast of the Harry Potter series there for us all.

Next. What does the future hold for the Harry Potter series?. dark
