Grimes is selling a piece of her soul and did she learn nothing from Voldemort?

If Voldemort taught us one thing it’s maybe don’t end up evil enough you’re willing to break off pieces of your soul and now Grimes is selling bits of hers? What is this?

As part of an art project, the singer Grimes decided to sell a piece of her soul. The problem? That’s kind of what ended up happening with Lord Voldemort. Sure, he created Horcruxes so that he could live forever (or his version of it) but still, he broke off his soul for his beliefs.

So selling your soul for an art project is like one step below that in its own twisted way. To be fair to Grimes, she thought it was, initially, a way of showing that no one would pay the price for a soul (clocking hers at $10 million dollars) but now with the world needing help, she’s willing to offer it up to the highest bidder.

What is the owner of said soul meant to do with it? Who knows but if the Devil or a man with no nose and a wand come knocking, I’d suggest not selling it to either of them. Still, it’s funny to see because for so long, Harry Potter fans have dealt with the world telling us to stop making references back to the series we love and then Grimes went and decided she was going to sell her soul. Come ON it is almost too easy to make a joke about Harry Potter. That’s just not fair to us.
