This week on Grey’s Anatomy, we take a break from the chaos at Grey Sloan and may bear witness to Maggie falling in love again.

Watching DeLuca speed off recklessly on his motorcycle was an intense cliffhanger to end on last week. Grey’s Anatomy fans want to know: Where was he going? Is he going to crash? Are we about to have another 007 situation on our hands? (Please don’t do that to us again. Please.)

Though many fans eagerly hoped for a continuation of the DeLuca saga, this week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy will take things in a slightly different direction.

According to this week’s synopsis, we’ll finally get more of a glimpse into Hayes’ past with his wife — which is great, because we need some good romance that everyone can get behind. And if this is his path toward falling for Meredith for real, give us all the backstory. Even if it means sobbing all the way through. We can take it.

Richard will have to deal with some of his feelings about the disastrous Catherine situation this week, too, while Maggie and Teddy are apparently about to run into people they used to know from way back when.

And it looks like Maggie might have a new love interest, at least temporarily. Does this finally mean she and Jackson are definitely over for good — or the exact opposite?

It’s possible the outcome of this fling could have a similar ending to that time Meredith tried to go on a date after Derek died and he unintentionally insulted her. Or it could lead to something more. The way this show has been twisting and turning lately, it’s really anyone’s guess.

Here’s to hoping this is all a setup for Maggie to finally realize she doesn’t need a man to find success and be happy. Did you see all that sass with Jackson last week? She’s so much more fun when she’s being the strong, independent woman we know she has the capacity to be.

Teddy, on the other hand, really needs someone to talk some sense into her. Maybe whoever she runs into from her past this week will make her realize that she needs to be grateful for what she has. Let’s be honest: After all Owen has been through, at this point he really does deserve to be happy. Don’t all these characters at this point?

Speaking of happiness, fingers crossed that this is truly Richard’s moment to shine. He deserves some positive vibes more than anyone right now. Goodbye Catherine. You won’t be missed.
