James Bond has a long-standing history of films and now, No Time to Die is set to be the longest Bond movie yet. So, I guess … all the time to die?

There is much excitement over No Time to Die due to it being the 25th film in the James Bond franchise. But that excitement also comes from the fact that it’s Daniel Craig’s last Bond movie, and that it brought on the likes of Ana de Armas and Rami Malek on board — not to mention Phoebe Waller-Bridge with a writing credit.

So now the question is: How long is this movie going to be? While this information isn’t all that flashy or exciting, a film’s length can tell you a lot about what you’re in store for. Just think back to the build-up for Avengers: Endgame, including all the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies before it, and how they informed the runtime we officially got. So, what’s No Time to Die’s damage?

According to Screen RantNo Time to Die is set to be nearly 170 minutes — meaning it’s almost pushing Avengers: Endgame runtime levels. That makes it the longest Bond movie yet. Of course, this is subject to change. Movies get cut and scenes get shortened, but it would have to shave off nearly twenty minutes of screen time to even come close to hitting Spectre, which previously held the record for longest Bond film.

That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be great just because it’s long. (Think back to The Rise of Skywalker…) But what it does say is that they’re not rushing any of Craig’s Bond storylines. While each actor brings new life to the character of James Bond, they’re all part of a series, and Daniel Craig is currently the longest-running Bond. We’ll take all the time we have left with him.

It’s going to be interesting to see how all 168 minutes plays out on screen, but seeing Daniel Craig as James Bond one last time? Nothing like it.

Next. Tom Hiddleston’s odds just went up to play James Bond thanks to Loki. dark
