Cormoran Strike Book 5 title and release date revealed

J.K. Rowling only recently announced that she’d finished writing the fifth Cormoran Strike novel. Now she’s shared the title and release date.
Are you ready for the fifth Cormoran Strike novel? If you’re anything like me, you certainly are. J.K. Rowling only just announced that she’d finished writing the novel, but now we have a title and a release date.
Book 5, which will be titled “Troubled Blood,” will be released in time for the kids to go back to school. Sept. 29 is the official release date. It’s not yet clear if this is the release everywhere or just the UK date. What we do know is that it will be the hardback book. We won’t get the paperback for at least another year.

If you prefer listening through Audible or other audiobook methods, you’ll get the release on the same day as the hardback book. So, if you want to wait for the paperback to hold, you can at least hear the story through Audible right away.
Rowling hasn’t announced any other details for the Cormoran Strike. She’s not yet released anything about the plot, but does say in the tweet with the release date and title that the book cover art will be coming soon.

There is the chance that the cover will reveal some details of the plot, which is why it’s not been revealed yet. However, the details are only really understood once you’ve read the details of the book. At least, that’s the way I’ve found it with all previous four novels.

The release date is earlier than many suspected. J.K. Rowling had waited three years between the third and fourth novels, so the same wait was expected for Cormoran Strike Book 5. Instead, the wait is just two years.
Right now, there is no confirmation of the novel being adapted for TV. However, news of “Lethal White” being adapted only came after the publication of the novel. We should hear about the fifth book being adapted or not sometime in September or October of this year.
